25 Jul JUNIOR JUNGLE WITH MARK POPE: GOOSE HITS HARD
GOOSE HITS HARD
In what was a hard slug for the Devils as they take another loss in their struggling senior season, some good came from long time Devil; Anthony ‘Goose’ Grace.
Grace managed to snag himself a goal and put in a good performance in the Devils’ 61 point loss against Winchelsea.
Corio Captain Ryan Roberston was best afield for the Devils again and bagged himself two majors for the day before collecting the Dave Nicholls medal for best on ground in a grand final.
Jackson Smith was best afield for the Blues.
POPEY’S COLTS REVIEW
In what was a very upsetting day for Corio last week against Inverleigh in the top of the table clash, Kyle O’Toole kicked two majors for the day whilst Cameron Platt had five.
Riley Wilson was best on Corio whilst Haygarth was best for the Hawks.
Inverleigh took the win out against Corio winning by 25 points.
POPEY’S COLTS PREVIEW
This week I’ll head out to Victoria Park to watch the Bannockburn Tigers take on the Leopold Lions.
Bannockburn are currently sitting fifth and Leopold are sitting on the bottom. A win today will be crucial for the Tigers to hold that spot to make finals.
Expect another big haul from Anthony ‘Moon’ Harding who already has 38 goals this year.
