Werribee welcomes Nyawela return

Last night Werribee Centrals announced the return of speedster Tito Nyawela to the GDFL following a year with WRFL top tier side Wyndhamvale.

During this time the youngster has also featured for Werribee’s VFL development side alongside GDFL stars Bradley Carlton and Jared Fletcher.

“Tito’s talent, pace and skill will be a welcome addition to our group,” first year coach Nick Smith said.

“We look forward to him reproducing the same dominance he displayed in the GDFL when he last played with us in 2016.”

Both Nyawela and recruit Jackson Smith (Mount Waverley) will look to add to the midfield after the departure of 2016 club best and fairest Dion Lawson (Apollo Bay).

This announcement comes less than a month after the Centurions signed former Ocean Grove ruckman Brayden Sneddon (see story here).

Werribee will hope to get off to a strong start in 2018 when facing East Geelong (away), Inverleigh, Corio (away) and Geelong West (twilight).
