27 May NV Association Championship Results
NV CENTRAL WEST ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS Our GDFNL League community can be super proud our all our junior netballers who participated in yesterday’s tournament day. Our teams competed against many other leagues/associations where due to their location have more opportunities to play more netball due to school sports comps and facilities and infrastructure to run more competitions. Seeing our girls stand up and play 9-11 games with Raiders pride against the best in the state was amazing. Our 17&U Raiders team won 8, lost 2, drew 1 to make it through to Semi Finals to lose to Banyule… the grand final winner GDFNL had beaten by 2 in Round 4 … Our 15&U Raiders team won 7, lost 1 to make it through to Semi Finals but losing (sorry can’t see results) Our 13&U Raiders won 4 out of 8 with 2 games we lost we were leading at half time so close! To our Raiders players – this rep program is so much more than winning for you all. To see you making new friendships, forming tight team bonds and watching the way you play against each other in our club rounds is special to see. You are all bringing and modelling a healthy respect for other players in our league, the way it should be👏👏👏 To the parents giving up their Sunday morning & Monday nights to help your children’s commitment to this opportunity to develop their netball – thank you 🙌🙌🙌 A huge thanks to the efforts of our Coaches – Chrissie, Lauren & Georgie❤️❤️❤️ the passion and determination they have for our juniors to develop and succeed is amazing. GDFNL was represented by our umpires Caz West, Tayah Kahle & Sennah Morrell who has the opportunity to also be TID and guided by top umpire educators in the state. – can’t do it without our umpires! Thank you. Some photos of the day with more to come. We encourage all juniors to trial for our rep program later in the year. We are always looking for more opportunities for our league juniors to develop so watch this space! Lee Doherty – League Netball Manager
