In 2026, Victoria’s State Titles will be held at the State Netball Centre, Brens Drive, Parkville, from March 7th to 9th.

Players, coaches and umpires who wish to be part of this opportunity are encouraged to apply on the registration forms available through Netball Connect, from your Associations/Leagues or from Allison Davidson (davostcloud16@gmail.com).

To qualify, players must have played 6 games in the Barwon Region in the 12 months prior to February, 2026.

Barwon Netball Region Trial dates
15’s and 17’s - Saturday, November 1st, 2025
15’s - 9 to 10.30 am 17’s - 11 to 12.30pm
Venues Central Reserve Netball Courts, Colac and Kardinia Park courts
Second trial date - Sunday, November 9th, Kardinia Park courts
Player applications close - Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025

Open team - Sunday, February 1st, 2026 - 9 to 10.30am
Venue - Kardinia Park courts
Player applications close Wednesday, January 21st, 2026

Coach and umpire applications close - Friday, October 17th, 2025

When outgoing Winchelsea senior president Daniel G

When outgoing Winchelsea senior president Daniel Greskie was asked to attend this year’s presentation evening he was asked to prepare a toast for league president Neville Whitley OAM.

To Daniel’s shock, he was inducted as the final GDFNL life member for the evening following 300-game qualifiers Jackson MacLeod, Naomi Baker, Michelle Hammond (Thomson), Justine Radford (East Geelong), Genna Gomez (North Geelong) as well as long serving Thomson official Craig Jacka.

Daniel fulfilled his duty shortly after accepting his GDFNL life member pin - honouring Neville’s 41 seasons in the top job 🥂
