The last time Werribee Centrals won a premiership, they weren't unbeaten after 10 rounds. In fact, none of the four premiership teams that built the club's modern dynasty were unbeaten after 10 rounds. Yet the 2026 Centurions head into this weekend's clash against Geelong West at 9-0, giving them the opportunity to achieve something none of those flag-winning sides managed. Forward target Brandon Houlihan will return as the Centurions attempt to start a season 10-0 for the first time since…

On face value it was a match between two winless sides sitting at the bottom of the Geelong & District Netball League ladder, but for a rebuilding team such as North Geelong, it was an opportunity to confirm the belief in the direction the club was heading. The Magpies got out to an eight-goal lead at quarter time against Geelong West Giants and extended the margin at every change to win 57 to 22 at West Oval. A flood of injuries and unavailability has opened the door for the return of two-time Werribee Centrals best-and-fairest, Tyler Crennan, for Saturday’s clash with Corio. As it did in 2025, if North Geelong is to win this year’s GDFNL premiership, it will have to do it without experienced big man Blake Miller.
