Sarah Kasparian from the Corio Football and Netball Club has been recognised as the GDFNL A Grade netball Athlete’s Foot most valuable player for 2026. Four days out from its qualifying meeting with East Geelong, GDFNL club Werribee Centrals has confirmed the re-signing of coach Rhyce Prismall. Prismall arrived at Galvin Park to share the coaching role with Nick Smith in late 2019 but didn’t get a chance to lead the club until 2021 after the 2020 season was lost to the Covid pandemic. Teaching colleagues will become coaching partners in 2027, with Drysdale gun Jack Jenkins joining East Geelong as co-coach alongside incumbent Ned Aulsebrook. A flood of injuries and unavailability has opened the door for the return of two-time Werribee Centrals best-and-fairest, Tyler Crennan, for Saturday’s clash with Corio.
