The Thomson Football and Netball Club held the opening of its new netball courts on Saturday, May 2.
Club legend and former Geelong mayor John Mitchell hosted the event with speeches from the honourable Christine Couzens (State member for Geelong and Parliamentary Secretary for First Peoples) and Cr Melissa Cadwell.
City of Greater Geelong deputy mayor Eddie Kontelj and Cr Anthony Aitken were also in attendance.
GDFNL netball legend Naomi Nisbett had the honour of cutting the ribbon.
Thomson then celebrated a 34 to 22 A Grade win after a climatic opening quarter.
