This evening our president Darryl Jarvis, treasurer Caz Hearn and vice president Glenn Myers attended the North Geelong netball court for a special announcement.
State member Ella George has announced a $450,000 contribution toward a second court at North Geelong.
"I have awesome news tonight for the North Geelong Football and Netball Club," she declared.
"In this year's state budget, the state government is investing $450,000 that goes towards a second netball court here."
City of Greater Geelong mayor Stretch Kontelj was also in attendance.
"The total cost of the project is $830,000 so the $450,000 is making a huge contribution to that," he explained.
"My challenge is to go back and convince my fellow councillors to find the remaining balance and get this done in the summer months ahead of next season."
