Reigning premier North Geelong will enter this Saturday's season opener as favourite against Bannockburn after last year's upset grand final win.
To add to the narrative, Peter Riccardi has revealed his son and premiership star Osca may also be available for selection despite moving to Western Australia over the pre-season.
"Unfortunately, Jonny Fazio dislocated his ankle and has a fracture in both bones in his lower leg and Thomas Davis is a day to day prospect," Peter said after his practice match win over GFL club North Geelong.
"This means Osca (Riccardi) might play."
